Zusammenfassung:Precise measurements of adsorption isotherms of Kr on graphite in the coverage range corresponding to the transition between the fluid and the registered monolayer have been made. This transition is shown to remain first order up to a temperature of 115 K, contrarily to earlier studies which suggested 98 K. A critical analysis is made of theories recently proposed for this transition.
