Zusammenfassung:In many electromagnetic devices, some of the active parts are made of thin conductors (power-transformer windings, high-voltage windings of sheet-winding transformers, etc.). These thin conductors are usually in such a number that taking them individually into account in the mesh-generation procedure for the finite-element analysis would require the solution of too large a system of equations, which may be computer-timing consuming. In this paper, we show that, whether thick conductors are also present or not, the leakage flux can be calculated in dynamic mode as if the regions of thin conductors were made of insulators and, then, eddy-current losses in these conductors can be calculated, using an analytic formula we also provide.
