Reply to ‘‘Comment on ‘Recent results on hydrogen passivation of silicon sheet solar cells’ ’’ [J. Appl. Phys. 5 7 , 5523 (1985)]

We discuss the differences between essentially single-crystal dendritic web and polycrystalline edge-defined film-fed growth (EFG) silicon ribbons. We conclude that a single mechanism does not adequately explain the hydrogen passivation data for these two cases.
