Zusammenfassung:We present axisymmetric magnetic field configurations which divert low energy electrons and ions to a wall while allowing passage of a higher energy charged particle beam without increasing its divergence. We give calculated on-axis magnetic field dependence for several values of the beam diameter increase. Also given is a plot of the dependence of a dimensionless parameter α≡[(vb)/ (Ω0Zc)] on the diameter increase of the beam which allows scaling of the beam speed and field.
