Simple Way of Using a Multidetector Array

An arrangement for processing information from an array of solid-state detectors is described in which signal amplitude is used to identify the detector registering an event. In the arrangement, series resistors are used to attenuate the signal from each detector relative to the detector preceding it in the array. The effects of the number oi detectors and the energy interval on the resolution are discussed. (D.L.C.)
