Simple Model for the Small‐Scale Structure of Turbulence
The small‐scale structure of turbulence may be modeled as vortex tubes of diameter η, which are stretched by eddies of scale λ. The skewness and kurtosis of ∂u/∂x ‐type signals are calculated.
