Photoelectronic properties of stoichiometric flux-grown rutile (TiO2) crystals

The photocurrent excitation spectra of stoichiometric flux-grown rutile (TiO2) single crystals showed a peak at 410 nm, the band-edge position, with no other peaks due to impurities or defects. In addition, thermally stimulated current, variation of photocurrent with light intensity, and oxidation a...

Zusammenfassung:The photocurrent excitation spectra of stoichiometric flux-grown rutile (TiO2) single crystals showed a peak at 410 nm, the band-edge position, with no other peaks due to impurities or defects. In addition, thermally stimulated current, variation of photocurrent with light intensity, and oxidation and reduction rates in these crystals suggest a much lower defect concentration than that of the flame-fusion-grown rutile crystals.
