Zusammenfassung:A new technique for measuring nuclear and electronic stopping powers of heavy ions in solids is described. The method does not require direct acceleration of the heavy ions nor does it require ultrathin uniform film targets. The method should be useful from the MeV region down to tens of keV. Results for carbon ions in carbon from 0.5 to 1.4 MeV are presented.
