Comment on “A quantitative numerical model of multilayer vapor-deposited organic light emitting diodes” [J. Appl. Phys. 86 , 3895 (1999)]

In an article of numerical modeling and simulation of organic light emitting diodes [J. Zusammenfassung:In an article of numerical modeling and simulation of organic light emitting diodes [J. Appl Phys. 86, 3895 (1999)], Staudigel et al. solved a one-dimensional Poisson equation to get an electric field at each monolayer, which is incorrect. The corrected solution of the Poisson equation can give a quantitatively different numerical result if the differences of dielectric constants among the layers are not negligible.
