Zusammenfassung: | The spin contribution of the spin-orbit interaction to the Nernst–Ettingshausen effect in
nonmagnetic metals with different band structures (Pt and W) under conditions of the
coexistence of a nonzero gradient of the spin chemical potential and a temperature
gradient has been studied by direct measurement. The dependence of the manifestation of
the different origin spin effects (spin Nernst–Ettingshausen effect is of a thermal
diffusion nature and spin Hall effect is of an electrical nature) on the band structure of
the metal, which controls the profile of the spin magnetization established at the edges
of the sample due to the spin accumulation is found. |
