Pituitary Gland Surgery and Results at King Hussein Cancer Center

We review pituitary gland surgery and results at King Hussein Cancer Center and King Hussein Medical Center. Over the past 4 years we operated on 154 cases of pituitary adenoma. We use the frontolateral approach for the large tumors and the direct endonasal transsphenoidal approach. We start by using the endoscope for the transsphenoidal approach.We can achieve good results in acromegaly and Cushing's disease. Our mortality and morbidity are at the lowest level compared with standard results.
