Zusammenfassung:Objective: To implement into clinical practice endoscopic posterior extended (transclival) approach and analyze the results of its use in the surgical treatment of mid located skull base tumors spreading to the posterior cranial fossa. Methods: 96 patients with tumors of the clivus area (46 males and 50 females) aged from 3 to 74 years were operated. The proportion of chordomas was 75 cases (78%), adenomas—7 (7.3%), meningiomas—5 (5.2%), cholesteatoma—2 (2.1%), craniopharyngiomas—2 (2.1%); other tumors—5.3%.
