This synthesis features a three-component Catellani reaction/Au-catalyzed 6-exo-dig cyclization for the assembly of 1-methylene-tetrahydroisoquinoline scaffold and an oxidative dearomatization for constructing spiro-cyclohexadienone scaffold.
