Zusammenfassung: | To describe ictal catatonia as a manifestation of de novo absence status epilepticus following benzodiazepine withdrawal. De novo absence status and benzodiazepine withdrawal should be considered when a catatonic syndrome suddenly occurs in elderly patients. |
