Technical Note Balancing Meniscal Resection in the Anterior Third of the Meniscus: A Simple Technique Using a No. 11 Blade

Balancing meniscal resection, especially of the anterior horn, is technically difficult to achieve. This article describes a simple technique for the use of a No. 11 blade to balance the resection of anterior third of the meniscus. A No. 11 blade can make a clean, smooth cut edge and further contouring is unnecessary. The main advantages of a disposable No. 11 blade are its easy availability, single-time use, and sharpness.
