Zusammenfassung: | During the last few years, organic and metalorganic magnetic molecules are being explored as active components for spintronic devices in which the spin of the molecule is exploited to encode the information. Very appealing results have already been obtained from measuring the transport through some of these magnetic systems when they are confined, deposited or grafted on conducting surfaces. Here we describe some experimental examples in which interesting charge transport phenomena that hold great perspectives regarding the possibility of controlling and manipulating the molecular spins have been observed.
Charge transport through free spin-containing molecules grafted on conducting surfaces shows different phenomena indicating the possibility of controlling and manipulating the molecular spins. |
