Zusammenfassung: | The rhodium-catalyzed ring-opening coupling of cyclic vinyl ethers, including 2,3-dihydrofuran and benzofuran, with organometallic reagents to give homoallylic alcohols and stilbenoids was reported. The suitable organometallic reagent for 2,3-dihydrofuran and benzofuran was found to be substrate-dependent, and a plausible mechanism involving different active organorhodium intermediates was proposed for these coupling reactions.
