Zusammenfassung:Boric acid molecules could easily self-aggregate into hierarchically porous coral-like architectures, while the lower alcohols were taken as modifiers in aqueous solution. Such a structure feature of boric acid endows outstanding water dispersive and instant dissolution properties, important when it is used as a nuclear coolant. Coral-like structures have been widely investigated for practical applications owing to their special porous architectures and surface activity. Here we report a simple strategy for the preparation of coral-like architectures of boric acid.
