Zusammenfassung:Coordination of N to [(Cp TiCl) ] in a non-coordinating ionic liquid, Pyr FAP, was studied by UV-vis/NIR and EPR spectroscopies. [(Cp TiCl) ] is in equilibrium between monomeric [Cp TiCl] and dimeric species [(Cp TiCl) ]. The frozen solution EPR spectrum revealed the coordination of N to [Cp TiCl], suggesting that Pyr FAP promotes N coordination to the Ti(iii) center.
