Zusammenfassung:To develop a platinum group metal (PGM)-free automotive three-way catalyst (TWC), we investigated the structure–activity relationship for Fe–Ni oxide catalysts and found NiFe 2 O 4 with a spinel structure is an active component of the three-way catalytic reaction (NO–C 3 H 6 –CO–O 2 ). The NiFe 2 O 4 catalyst exhibited a light-off temperature below 300 °C for NO reduction, which was more than 50 °C lower than previously reported PGM-free TWCs at a high space velocity (GHSV = 140 000 h −1 ).
