Photochemical Ozone and Sulphuric Acid Aerosol Formation in the Atmosphere over Southern England

Photochemical air pollution of the kind which occurs in some urban environments in the United States has been observed in Britain during July 1971. The mechanisms involved may constitute an important part of the processes for the oxidation of sulphur dioxide in the atmosphere.
