Zusammenfassung: | The syntheses of a series of stable vanadium(V) alkyls have been achieved by the support of arylimido ligation. The (arylimido)vanadium(V) tribenzyl complex V(NAr)(CH2Ph)3 (Ar = C6H3-2,6-Pri 2) has been prepared in high yield by the treatment of V(NAr)Cl3·THF with PhCH2MgCl. This compound, which represents the first structurally characterized vanadium(V) trialkyl complex, is a valuable synthetic precursor to a series of other vanadium(V) dialkyl derivatives with supporting alkoxide, aryloxide, and amido functionalities. |
