Synthesis and Characterization of a Zirconium Complex Containing a Corannulene-Based Ligand

Exo-(η5-C20H17)(η5-C5H5)ZrCl2 has been synthesized using partially hydrogenated corannulene as an η5-ligand. The zirconium atom was determined to be bound to the exo face of the bowl-shaped ligand by an X-ray diffraction study.
