Zusammenfassung:	The syntheses of several functionally-substituted tetramethylcyclopentadienyl (FS-Cp) ligands are reported. These ligands are significant because they possess functional groups that may be used in polymer construction. Several of the FS-Cp ligands were used in the syntheses of organometallic monomers and clusters, which were then used in the construction of organometallic polymers.
