Zusammenfassung:Changes in the medium-range order during the crystallization of VPI-7, a zincosilicate zeolite containing 3-membered rings (3Rs), were characterized by high-energy X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy. Distinct changes in the medium-range order have been observed, especially due to the formation of 3Rs in the initial stages of the crystallization of VPI-7. Increases in the formation of other rings during crystallization have also been confirmed. Addition of Zn has been shown to promotion of the formation of 3Rs in these amorphous solids.
