Depending upon the substrate and conditions, either enolate formation or rearrangement chemistry can occur. Related chemistry of alkyl complexes (eta/sup 5/-C/sub 5/H/sub 5/)Re(NO)(PPh/sub 3/)(R) and pentamethylcyclopentadienyl acyl complexes (eta/sup 5/-C/sub 5/Me/sub 5/)Re(NO)(PPh/sub 3/)(COR) is also reported. From this study, a detailed picture of the acid/base properties of these molecules emerges. 51 references, 1 table. |
