Zusammenfassung: | This paper discusses how temperature variations of the reaction rate of the oxidation of propylene in air on a platinum ribbon heated by a constant electrical current revealed that the ribbon remained at a constant high temperature for most of the time, but boundary movement of this region caused temporal variations in the reaction rate. The oscillation of the reaction rate decreases with increasing current, occurs at a higher frequency and decays exponentially as compared to the local temperature. The oscillation time interval probability density function is widely spread around two modes. 36 refs., 12 figs. |
