Zusammenfassung: | The hydrodynamics of a two-dimensional conical spouted bed was studied using an Eulerian−Eulerian two-fluid model (TFM) incorporating the kinetic theory of granular flows. Influences of various types of frictional stresses models, exchange coefficients, as well as different values of the restitution coefficient were investigated as modeling parameters. Incoherent and steady spouting were analyzed, and the hydrodynamic properties such as longitudinal profiles of the vertical particle velocities along the axis, the lateral axial particle velocities in the spout region, and distribution of granular temperature at various bed levels were evaluated. The simulated hydrodynamics of the bed with a conical base were compared with those with cylindrical spouted beds, and their similarity and differences were discussed. Comparison of the simulation results with the experimental data showed fairly good agreement. |
