Extended Water Tapes of Cyclic Hexamers Encapsulated in the Channels of a Metal Phosphonocarboxylate Network

Water tapes consisting of fused cyclic water hexamers were formed in channels of a three-dimensional supramolecular framework. The geometrical parameters of water tapes are quite similar to those in ice Ih. The dehydration and rehydration of the title complex are partly reversible.
