Zusammenfassung:Annexation of three-dimensional (3D) materials inside the one-dimensional (1D) materials has been considered as one of the biggest challenges in the recent developments of material chemistry. Three-dimensional materials possess the most attractive dimensional characteristics different from the bulk properties of the material. In the same way, 1D materials also have their own fascinating physicochemical properties. The combination of these dimensional aspects ought to be highly desirable owing to their aforementioned advantages. Here, we successfully achieved the incorporation of 3D nickel vanadate (Ni3V2O8) nanocubes inside 1D nanofibers using a well-established and most reliable electrospinning (ES) method. As-synthesized nanofibrous materials were assessed for electrocatalytic oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in the alkaline medium for the very first time. The nanofabricated composite material demonstrated superior catalytic activity and stability as compared to other catalysts for the OER reaction.
