Zusammenfassung: | Obtaining a Ce-based nanocatalyst with high enough ROS production for the prevention of tumor cell proliferation is still a great challenge. Herein, we report a unique cerium nanocarrier with central divergent dendritic mesoporous channels, a high specific surface area, and more active cerium sites. ICG is loaded in the mesopores, and PEG motifs are grafted on the surface. This nanoplatform can efficaciously accumulate in the tumor regions, and the fascinating mesoporous nanocomposite can be triggered for massive Ce ion release under weak acid tumor microenvironments. Interestingly, upon NIR laser irradiation, high photothermal conversion efficiency of the nanoplatform is demonstrated. Then, the local thermal effect progressively potentiates ROS amplification. Both in vitro and in vivo studies demonstrate that our dendritic nanoplatform is able to efficaciously prevent tumorigenesis. All findings highlight the potency of tumor microenvironment stimuli activated dendritic Ce-based nanocomposites as chemodynamic nanoagents for malignant cancer ablating via a synergistic effect accompanied by NIR light illumination. |
