Mixed-Valence Np V /An VI Molybdate Complexes with Single-Charge Outer-Sphere Cations

Five new mixed-valence Np /An molybdates of the composition [C(NH ) ] [(Np O )(Np O )(MoO ) (H O)]·H O ( ), [C(NH ) ] [(Np O )(Np O )(MoO ) (H O)]·3H O ( ), Na [(Np O )(Pu O )(MoO ) (H O)]· H O ( ), Na [(Np O ) (U O )(MoO ) ]·13H O ( ), and LiNa [(Np O )(Np O ) (MoO ) (H O)]·4H O ( ) have been synthesized and structurally characterized. The coordination polyhedra of the Np and An atoms in compounds - are pentagonal bipyramids. The basis of structures - is anionic layers of the composition [(Np O )(An O )(MoO ) (H O)] . Three crystallographically independent molybdate ions are tridentate-bridging ligands. The water molecule, which is a part of the anion layer, is coordinated to the Np atom. The anionic layers in complexes and have the same structure, different from . The basis of structure is anionic layers of the composition [(Np O ) (U O )(MoO ) ] , the structure of which differs from the structure of anionic layers in - . Complex has a three-dimensional (3D) structure. The spectra of all compounds in the UV-visible and IR ranges were measured and analyzed.
