Zusammenfassung: | The University of Western Ontario and Canada's Department of Energy, Mines and Resources have undertaken a detailed X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (ESCA) study of over 30 Mo/Al/sub 2/O/sub 3/ hydrodesulfurization catalysts in the oxide and sulfide states to determine the oxidation states of the metals and the concentrations of the metals on the pellet interior and exterior surfaces. Representative spectra show the ESCA is a powerful, routine technique for analyzing catalyst behavior in coal-conversion desulfurization systems. |
