A photonic crystal fiber (PCF) with excellent bend-resistant performance and large mode field area is proposed and analyzed by the finite element method in this paper. The bending loss and mode field area characteristics in the operating wavelengths that most commonly used are studied in detail. Under the premise of reducing the difficulty of fabricating the fiber, the structural parameters of the optical fiber is optimized. The calculation results demonstrate that the single mode operation bending radius ranges at the wavelength of 1.064 μm, 1.31 μm and 1.55 μm can reach to 7.73 cm, 6.53 cm and 5.91 cm respectively. Meanwhile, a large effective mode area which exceeds 1300 μm2 is obtained. The proposed PCF has potential applications in the fields of high-power laser systems and optical fiber sensing. |
