Zusammenfassung:The present work investigates the influence of areal surface parameters according to ISO 25178 on the tribological behavior of Ti6Al4V alloy. Experiments on lubricated sliding wear at varied weights and sliding speeds were conducted using the pin-on-disk tribo test with an EN31 steel disk as the counter body and SAE40W15 as the lubricant in accordance with ASTM G-99. The lowest friction coefficient was obtained at 3 m/s sliding velocity and was independent of normal load, however the wear rate increased with increase in normal load. Vvv, Svk, Spk, Sk, Sku, Sk and, Sq had shown strong correlation with CoF and wear depth. Spk had a correlation coefficient of −0.8247 with CoF, and Vvv had a correlation coefficient of - 0.8415 with wear depth. Vvv and Svk retained the lubricant and increased the life of the component.
