Zusammenfassung: | Metal-organic nanotubes (MONTs), combination of metal-organic frameworks and inorganic nanotube material, are framework structures with nanoscale tunnels constructed by self-assembly synthesis. As a typical nanotube structure, MONTs have attracted a great potential in several promising application fields for the advantages of large specific surface area, open nano-pore structure, adjustable pore size, excellent chemical and thermal stability. In this review, we summarize the design and classification of MONTs. The developed applications of MONTs in separation and sensor detection are also elaborated. Further challenges of application are discussed at the section of conclusion, with the hope of stimulating widespread adoption in other promising fields.
