Zusammenfassung:A.V. Arhangel'skii introduced the dimension-like function Dind (see [2]) and some of its properties were proved in [1] and [5]. In this paper, we define the base dimension-like function of the type Dind, denoted by b-Dind, and study the property of universality for this function, proving that in a class of bases which is determined by b-Dind there exist universal elements.
