•Liquid phase synthetic method based on a soluble hydrophobic-support-assisted method of TP4.•Post treatment of intermediate with high viscosity.•Conditions of removing support Tag-OH.
Antimicrobial peptides are an important part of the natural immune system. According to reports, the antimicrobial peptide piscidins have a very significant therapeutic effect, among which TP4, a member of the Nile tilapia family, has not only antimicrobial activity, but also anticancer, immune regulation and promoting wound healing. TP4 has become the most valuable candidate for commercial applications. Therefore, in order to facilitate the follow-up research, it is very important to develop the synthetic route of TP4 with excellent yield and high purity. In this paper, we reported a newly developed synthetic route for TP4, which was a liquid phase synthetic method based on a soluble hydrophobic-support-assisted method. This synthetic method was simple and effective with satisfactory yield and high purity, and was not controlled by scale in the production process. |
