Zusammenfassung: | This paper reviews the research progress of LBE corrosion-resistant coatings based on the conducted experiments in the published literature. Metallic coatings have been widely studied due to their outstanding bonding properties with steel substrates. Different metallic coatings exhibit different corrosion resistance, which is attributed to the formation of a dense and continuous protective oxide scale during corrosion. The ceramic coatings prepared by different methods show different microstructure and corrosion resistance. The attempt at composite/multilayer coating strategy provides a new idea for obtaining coatings with specific properties. Different coatings and coatings prepared by different methods have different properties after irradiation. The development of simultaneous proton irradiation and LBE corrosion coupling experiments provides a new way for the screening of coatings with better comprehensive performance under near LFR service conditions. The summary of the existing LBE corrosion-resistant coatings in this review will help the authors to prepare and screen coatings with excellent performance.
•The research progress of the LBE corrosion-resistant coatings was reviewed.•Different coatings and different preparation processes show different corrosion resistance.•The defects introduced by irradiation deteriorate the corrosion resistance of the coatings.•The simultaneous irradiation-corrosion device provides a new choice to evaluate the performance of the coatings. |
