Zusammenfassung: | The scheelite-type CdMoO4 nanopowders were prepared through calcination of an oxalate precursor in static air at 500 °C for 2h. The oxalate precursor was analyzed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA). The as-synthesized cadmium molybdate was characterized by Raman spectroscopy (RS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). Its catalytic activity was tested by the oxidation reaction of methylene blue (MB) dye in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. The obtained results showed that CdMoO4 nanopowders have very high catalytic activity with a yield of 98 % during a period of 2h under alkaline conditions at pH 11. |
