Zusammenfassung:This article studies the quantum Cournot duopoly game via the iterated confronting of a large number of players laying in a two-dimensional lattice. In every iteration, every player plays with his nearest partners and adopts the strategy of his best paid nearest mate. Variable degree of quantum entanglement is taken into consideration in the study. •This article demonstrates the usefulness of the numerical simulation in the study of the quantum Cournot duopoly (CD) game.•In CD formulations where various Nash Equilibriums are possible, the implemented simulation provides invaluable information on which ones are more likely feasible.•The proposed simulation technique will help in the study of other continuous game scenarios (e.g., the Bertrand and Stackelberg duopoly games) where the mathematical analysis turns out to be cumbersome.
