The stripe phase of two-dimensional core-softened systems: Structure recognition
In the present paper, we discuss the so-called stripe phase of two-dimensional systems observed in computer simulation of a core-softened system and in some experiments with colloidal films. We have shown that stripe phase is actually an oblique crystal and found out its unit vectors, i.e. we give a...

Zusammenfassung: | In the present paper, we discuss the so-called stripe phase of two-dimensional systems observed in computer simulation of a core-softened system and in some experiments with colloidal films. We have shown that stripe phase is actually an oblique crystal and found out its unit vectors, i.e. we give a full description of the structure of this crystalline phase.
•In the present paper we study a so-called ‘stripe phase’ in two-dimensional systems which was widely discussed in literature.•We show that this phase is an oblique crystal which is in contrast with previous studies where it was supposed to be fluid.•We recognize the structure and find its unit vectors. |
