Zusammenfassung: | Piperazinium bis (trifluoroacetate) organic single crystal has been successfully grown by slow evaporation solution technique (SEST). The Piperazinium bis (trifluoroacetate) crystal structural parameters (unit cell & space group) were confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction (SXRD). Various crystal planes were identified by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) analysis. The crystalline perfection of PTFA crystal was investigated by High Resolution X-ray diffraction (HR-XRD) analysis. The optical characterizations such as photoconductivity and photoluminescence properties of this PTFA crystal were investigated. The electrical property of PTFA crystal was identified by the piezoelectric analysis. The piezoelectric charge coefficient (d33 = 13 pC/N) has been measured, which shows it a suitable material for piezoelectric devices. A saturated loop with values of coercive field of remnant polarisation of 0.66 μC/cm2 and 2.45 kV/cm, respectively, was discovered in ferroelectric investigations. Laser Damage Threshold value of SEST grown PTFA crystal has been determined at 532 nm by using a ns second harmonic of Nd: YAG laser. Finally, we have evaluated the optical properties such as refractive index (R.I.), absorption coefficients (α) and real part of dielectric constant of PTFA using reflection mode time/frequency domain terahertz (THz) spectroscopy between 0.2 and 3.2 THz range. We have measured the conversion efficiency of the PTFA single crystal is 2.4 × 10−4 % at 110 μ W incident laser pump power.
