A new single crystal of Pb3BP3O12 (PBP) was grown by top seeded growth method with the crystal dimensional of 18 mm × 7 mm × 9 mm. Pb3BP3O12 was a congruent-melting compound and crystallized in the orthorhombic space group of Ibca with unit cell parameters of a = 7.0080(2) Å, b = 14.2286(4) Å, c = 21.5469(6) Å and Z = 8. The structure featured a one-dimensional (1D) zigzag chains composed of [B(PO4)3]6- anionic units. Pb atoms located between the anion chains to connect them, forming a 3D network structure. Furthermore, Pb3BP3O12 performed a wide transmittance range from 250 to 2600 nm. |
