The Yangtze River Delta integration and regional development of marine economy: Conference report

As the contribution of regional marine economy to Yangtze River Delta integration increased, promoting the integration of the Yangtze River Delta and developing regional marine economy has become an important strategy for building China's modern economic system. The China Ocean Economy Forum 2020 was held in September 2020 in Zhoushan, to discuss the related theoretical and practical issues. This conference report summarizes the core issues discussed in the forum, which might facilitate a better understanding of marine economy and regional integration. •The "Outline for the Development of Regional Integration in the Yangtze River Delta" is released in China in 2019.•China has posed to form a "dual circulation" pattern: inter-economy plays a main role and exter-economy keeps its supplement.•Global and regional marine ecological environment governance needs improvement.
