The prostate as a good candidate organ for proving amyloid deposition in non-endemic late onset hereditary transthyretin amyloidosis: Report of two cases

•Amyloid fibrils deposit in the prostatic stroma in hereditary transthyretin amyloidosis (ATTRv) patients.•Late-onset male ATTRv patients commonly present with dysuria with various pathogenesis.•Analyzing prostatic tissue is useful to prove amyloid deposition and evaluate urinary disturbance in late-onset male ATTRv patients.
