Zusammenfassung:We studied single F3+ color centers in a LiF crystal with use of confocal fluorescence microscopy method and time-correlated single photon counting technique; the dependences of luminescence intensity of these centers on time have been measured. Reorientation of F3+ color center at room temperature was observed but translational diffusion was absent; previously these centers were considered to be static. Therefore, we did the simulation of the dynamics of these centers. •Single F3+ color center in LiF emits groups of photons between which long time intervals.•Fluctuations of luminescence intensity F3+ of the color center due to the reorientation of the center.•The dynamics of the center is described by augmented equations for a single molecule with a triplet level.
