Ultrasensitive electrochemical sensor for determination of trace carbadox with ordered mesoporous carbon/GCE

Zusammenfassung: | In this study, two kinds of ordered mesoporous carbon (OMC) were used as modified electrode materials for fabrication electrochemical sensors (ECSs). CMK-8 and CMK-3 of mesoporous structures own large specific surface areas of 519.5 m2/g and 285.0 m2/g, respectively. The ECSs displayed excellent catalytic performance toward to the electrochemical reduction of carbadox (CBX). 390-Fold and 15-fold of peak current increase can be obtained from CMK-8/GE and CMK-3/GE modified electrodes, respectively, as compared with bare gold electrode. Under optimum conditions, the CMK-8/GE exhibited a wide linear range (0.5 nM to 500 nM) and extremely low detection limit of about 74 pM for detection of CBX. However, the CMK-3/GE exhibited a wide linear range (100 nM to 5000 nM) and excellent detection limit of about 12 nM. The ECS has succeeded in the electrochemical determination of CBX in spikes. The study dedicates that CMK-8 has more excellent electro-catalytic performance than CMK-3 for electro-catalysis of CBX. |
