Zusammenfassung:Herein, we report the synthesis of room temperature hybrid material by applying gamma- alumina dawsonite (AACH) functionalized by Bio-Based Substances (BBS) and application of this material as a noble adsorbent for efficient removal of positive pollutants in aqueous media. These hybrid materials were prepared through an electrostatic interaction between positively charged alumina and negatively charged BBS. Characterization was performed by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption at 77 K, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Zeta potential measurements, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Finally the removal of dye such as Crystal Violet (CV) and polar organic pollutants as emerging contaminants such as atenolol and carbamazepine was studied and a remarkable amount of polar pollutants were removed by this novel hybrid materials. This hybrid material is indicated by B-BBS0.4 and presents a clear potential to treat dye, illustrating high adsorption capacity (qe=188 mg/g) at very short contact time (less than 30 min). In addition the results were compared with our previous attempt (synthesized ABBS) in order to choose more efficient hybrid adsorbent with a higher capacity of adsorption towards the industrial applications.
