Zusammenfassung:The site of Palomas, Facinas (Tarifa, Cádiz, Spain), was investigated by Breuil and Burkitt in the early 20th century and published in 1929. They identified four assemblages of wall paintings, including Palaeolithic representations in Palomas I. Recently, our team discovered previously unknown Palaeolithic paintings (including hand stencils and other motifs) in Palomas IV. This article presents our preliminary results, including a description and documentation of the main motifs identified. The site is located near the Strait of Gibraltar, which is a region of great archaeological importance for the study of prehistory in the Iberian Peninsula.
